Description
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Government of Pakistan, through its Revenue Division, has announced multiple job opportunities in the Pakistan Customs Department. These vacancies fall under the \"Situations Vacant\" section and are open to Pakistani nationals who possess a valid domicile of their respective provinces, regions, divisions, or districts. This hiring is being conducted to fill the position of MIS Officer (BPS-16) across the country. The recruitment will be made on a purely contract basis for a period of two years, extendable based on performance and departmental requirements.

- A total of 81 vacancies have been announced for the post of MIS Officer. The seats are distributed across Pakistan on a regional quota basis, ensuring fair representation from all provinces and territories. Out of the total, 41 seats are allocated to Punjab (including women and minority quotas), 16 seats are allocated to Sindh—divided between Sindh Urban (06) and Sindh Rural (10)—while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has 9 seats. Balochistan is allocated 5 seats, Ex-FATA has 2 seats, and one seat each has been designated for Gilgit Baltistan (GB) and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K). The seats are categorized further by open merit, women quota, and minority quota as per the government rules. For instance, Punjab has 35 seats on merit, 4 for women, and 2 for minorities, while Sindh Rural has 8 for merit, 1 for women, and 1 for minorities. Applicants must hold either a Second Class or Grade “C” Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent qualification from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). Alternatively, candidates with a Second Class or Grade “C” Bachelor’s degree in the same fields are also eligible. The age limit for applicants is between 20 and 28 years, including five years of general age relaxation as per federal government policies.
