The Election Commission of Pakistan, Sindh region, has opened its recruitment doors to individuals holding domicile of Sindh. In a bid to bolster its federal ranks, it is seeking competent and disciplined male and female candidates to fill various designations under the federal government’s ambit. Applications are to be submitted both via the Online Recruitment System (ORS) and physically, through registered courier, addressed to G.P.O Post Box No. 7200, Saddar, Karachi. The deadline for submission of all forms and supporting documentation is June 15, 2025.

Requirements

  • Among the available posts is the role of Data Entry Operator (BS-14). Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree accompanied by a recognized one-year diploma in Information Technology. The ideal candidate should demonstrate fluency in Microsoft Office and other computer utilities, be capable of typing a minimum of 40 words per minute in both English and Urdu, and exhibit a strong grasp of digital communication tools, such as email platforms and internet-based applications. Additionally, they must possess the ability to work independently with minimal oversight, manage multiple tasks efficiently, and ensure data integrity using antivirus systems. The age range for this position is 18 to 28 years, and fifteen seats are available—six on open merit, seven allocated to women, and two designated for minority groups. Posting can occur anywhere within Sindh. The post of Junior Assistant (BS-13) is open to individuals with at least an intermediate level of education and basic computer literacy. They must also have completed a government-approved three-week training program in Information Technology, inclusive of MS Office. Candidates must be between 18 and 25 years old. Eight positions are up for grabs—five under open merit and three reserved for female applicants. These appointees will be liable to serve at any location across Sindh. For those holding a matriculation certificate and possessing typing skills of at least 30 words per minute, the position of Sub-Assistant (BS-11) may be an appealing opportunity. The candidate must also have undergone a three-week IT training course recognized by the government. This post has an age requirement of 18 to 25 years, and five positions are available under open merit. Selected candidates should be prepared for assignment anywhere within the province. The department is also seeking drivers for two different roles. The Staff Car Driver (BS-05) and Dispatch Rider (BS-05) roles each require applicants to have completed matriculation and to hold a valid driving license, with thorough knowledge of traffic laws and vehicle safety norms. Applicants must not exceed 30 years of age. Three seats are available for staff car drivers and two for dispatch riders—all under open merit, with placement flexibility across Sindh. For individuals with a primary education, the position of Naib Qasid (BS-02) provides an accessible employment route. Applicants should be under 25 years of age. Eight positions are open, all under the category of open merit, with successful candidates expected to serve wherever required within the province.
  • How To Apply

    • Candidates applying for posts from BS-11 to BS-14 must first apply online through the ECP’s recruitment portal. In addition, they are required to send a hard copy of their signed application form, along with auto-generated forms and supporting documents (educational/experience certificates, diplomas, CNIC, domicile, NOC where applicable, and a passport-size photograph), via courier to the designated P.O. Box in Karachi. Those applying for posts in BS-02 to BS-09 need only submit hard copies through courier, without using the online portal. Each application must clearly indicate the post applied for on the envelope, and individuals intending to apply for multiple roles must submit separate applications for each. Applications lacking complete information or submitted after the deadline will be disregarded. Government employees must route their applications through their respective departments. The department reserves the right to cancel or amend the recruitment process at any stage without explanation. Quotas for women, minorities, and persons with disabilities will be strictly observed in line with government policies. Furthermore, a general age relaxation of up to five years beyond the upper age limit is permissible under the 1993 rules governing initial civil appointments. Candidates should note that no travel or daily allowances will be provided for test or interview attendance, and only shortlisted individuals will be contacted for further evaluation. For all intents and purposes, the recruitment authority retains full discretion in determining the final number of posts filled, or to halt the hiring process entirely without assigning a cause.
