Description

The Provincial Assembly of Sindh, Karachi, has issued a corrigendum to its earlier job advertisement published on June 4, 2025, in leading newspapers. This update addresses previous omissions and corrections, specifically the “How to Apply” section and an error in the age limit which was incorrectly listed as 18–35 years. The corrected age limit for all positions is now clearly stated as 18–28 years. Fresh applications are now invited from eligible Pakistani nationals domiciled in Sindh for various vacant posts on a temporary basis, with the potential for permanent employment after successful completion of the probation period. The advertisement includes a wide range of job positions across various departments and technical domains. Some key positions include Assistant Programmer, Junior Scale Stenographer, Assistant Security Officer, Photographer, Sub-Engineers in different specializations (Electrical, Civil, Electronics), Data Entry Operators, HVAC Technicians, Proof Readers, Security Assistants, and many more technical and support staff roles. The total number of posts advertised is 268, and all positions require specific qualifications ranging from middle school to bachelor’s degrees and relevant diplomas, with preference given to candidates having relevant experience. It is crucial for applicants to note that, as per the order dated June 19, 2024, from the Honourable High Court of Sindh in suit No. 1493/23, all previous recruitment processes are rendered void. Therefore, even candidates who applied earlier must reapply under this fresh announcement. Government servants and employees of autonomous or semi-autonomous bodies must apply through the proper channel. All appointments will be governed under the Sindh Provincial Assembly Secretariat Appointment, Promotion, and Transfer Rules, 1975, and the Recruitment Rules of 1974, with amendments made from time to time. Selected candidates will undergo medical examinations and security clearance. The number of posts is subject to change, and foreign degree holders must provide equivalency certificates from IBCC or HEC as applicable.
