Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO), operating under the Ministry of Energy (Power Division), has announced new career opportunities for the year 2025. This government-owned utility company plays a vital role in delivering electricity services across the districts under its operational jurisdiction in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK). Requirements

  • For the position of Commercial Assistant, candidates must possess at least a BA/BSc/B.Com or BCS degree in second division. Additionally, applicants must have completed a 6-week IT Training Course (including MS Office) from NITB, TEVTA, or any other institution recognized by the Board of Technical or Higher Education Commission. This role has 272 openings, with seats distributed among open merit (226), women (27), disabled (5), and minority candidates (14). The required age limit for applicants is 18 to 30 years. For the LS-II position, candidates must have passed Matric and obtained a 3-year Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Electrical/Electronics Technology from a Government Polytechnic Institute in 1st Division. There are 134 seats available for LS-II, with open merit (127) and a minority quota (7). The age requirement for LS-II is also 18 to 30 years. General age relaxation is already included in the mentioned limits. Additional relaxations apply to specific categories: scheduled castes and Buddhists (3 years), government servants with two years of service (10 years), and ex-servicemen (up to the age they were released from service). Incomplete applications, hand submissions, or those missing information or documents will be rejected.
  • How To Apply

    • Interested candidates are required to apply through the National Testing Service (NTS) official website: www.nts.org.pk within 15 days of the advertisement’s publication. The application must be completed online—no handwritten or in-person submissions will be entertained. Applicants must also pay a test fee of Rs. 360/-, which can be submitted via 1Link participating banks, ATMs, internet banking, Easy Paisa, JazzCash, TCS express counters, and mobile banking platforms. Only one bill/invoice payment will be accepted. It is crucial to note that no applications will be accepted at PESCO HQ or any of its offices. After submission, candidates must download their Roll No. Slip from the NTS website, which will also be sent via SMS and NTS’s online portal at least one week prior to the test date. Shortlisted applicants will be invited for a written test and/or interview. No TA/DA will be paid for the test or interview. The candidates must bring original documents at the time of the interview. Applicants who are dismissed from any organization or those involved in criminal activities will not be eligible. Any false information or concealment will result in immediate disqualification. Furthermore, all applicants must meet the eligibility criteria by the application deadline. Children of PESCO employees who previously applied under the 20% employee quota are advised to apply afresh, as previous applications have been canceled due to the Supreme Court\'s decision.
