Description
Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences (LUMHS), Jamshoro, in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Islamabad, is offering the HEC-Need Based Scholarship Program for the academic session 2024–2025. This initiative is aimed at supporting underprivileged undergraduate students enrolled on a merit basis in various programs at LUMHS Jamshoro. The eligible disciplines include MBBS, BDS, BS Nursing, BS Biomedical Engineering, Doctor of Physiotherapy, Doctor of Pharmacy, and other programs offered by the College of Technology. The program is specifically designed to assist those students who are financially challenged but have gained admission based on merit.
Requirements
- Only students who have been admitted on a merit basis in the aforementioned programs are eligible to apply. It is important to note that students admitted on a self-finance basis are not eligible for this scholarship. Applicants must be enrolled for the 2024–2025 academic session at the LUMHS Jamshoro campus. Additionally, candidates must provide complete and accurate documentation to be considered, as incomplete applications will not be entertained.
- To apply for the scholarship, students must obtain the prescribed application form. This form is available either from the concerned office at LUMHS or can be downloaded online from the HEC website at: http://hec.gov.pk/english/scholarshipsgrants/NBS/Pages/Downloads.aspx After completing the form, students should submit it along with all required supporting documents to the Students\' Financial Aid Office (SFAO), located in the Academic Block of LUMHS Jamshoro. The deadline for submission is May 15, 2025, and all applications must be submitted during working hours.
